I’m getting ready to launch LinContEx.com…or at least the free beta version of the site. It’ll be a “link and content exchange”, powered by RSS feeds.
Each member will submit the addresses of their RSS feeds and the pages where they’re interested in exchanging. Feeds will be tagged by topic, and pages will have information attached to them like the maximum number of feeds that will be displayed on them (insurance that your feed won’t get lost in too big a page), etc.
Members will be able to publish other members’ feeds on their sites to get relevant content (as long as certain rules are followed, like all content has to link back to the original source in a search engine friendly manner).
Exchanges will also be made where members display each others’ feeds.
Since all feed selections will be done manually, and presumably members will only display good quality feeds on their sites, the best quality feeds will get rewarded with the most inbound links. We’ll be working WITH the search engines to help identify the best quality content, but just adding a little extra automation in when it comes to updating based on the latest posts in each feed.
The site will be free initially. I plan to add some advanced features which will be available by paid subscription, but I expect to keep the features described above free indefinitely.
This site will also have a free mailing list covering all sorts of traffic building related topics (SEO, link building, link exchanges, content building, etc.)
Sign up now. The site will be up and running soon.
